I found Omarchy to be too opinionated. I understand this was the point. But I wanted to try Niri window manager. Omarchy is too intertwined with Hyprland and Quickshell. So I replaced Omarchy with a custom stack of Arch/Noctalia/Niri. The Niri design is so much better, especially when using a trackpad.
@axboe OS 27? I had the same experience. Downgraded back to Sequoia and my M1 Max felt snappy again.

Finally found a solid cross-platform password manager: Vaultwarden. I self-host the vault and access it via any Bitwarden client. All free and open source. And with Tailscale I can access the vault from anywhere.
What's great about Apple is the ecosystem. With the purchase of your machine you get access to a solid suite of free tools that cover most everyday needs: email, calendar, messages, maps, notes, reminders, even password management. Linux on the other hand...

@Stammy Man I feel like the "worker" label is doing a lot more harm than good. It's very weird to me that I would put a website on a "worker", my brain associates that word with background jobs, queues, stuff that needs to happen but that you don't see.
My first plugin for Omarchy: a unfied launcher! I didn't like that I had to open a separate panel to search for keybinds. And the clipboard and emoji pickers were slow to open because they were in separate panels. Everything is now in one fast and simple launcher.
