@sharvineerao @ycombinator Yeah honestly it's a good idea, no reason we wouldn't be happy to publish these as we pass through costs and our business model has nothing to do with charging a premium for labs! Will look to add this as a 'lab cost estimator' on our website or something.
Ahh yes totally agree. Average response times do take a few hours and it isn't suitable for truly urgent/ emergent care. Hmm we don't have a public catalog of the labs and prices vary between Quest/Bioreference depending on the state, but send us a DM with what you're looking for and I'll look it up for you!
Have you seen the average prices on FutureClinic? $40 for a single consultation, and $55/month for ongoing care any time from the same doctor. It beats co-pays and deductibles for most people even with insurance! It's not our place to get involved in others' comments, but affordability is something we believe in strongly. We could easily have made a "concierge" brand that was ultra premium priced, but that's not our mission.
No HSA/FSA yet, but soon. Large discounts on lab testing, with transparent pricing up front that patients can pay directly through us and never get surprised with a bill after the fact. And yes, we have to safety screens throughout the intake with clear disclaimers for urgent care. Not sure what the cost savings with time part means!
@thepotatodude47 @ycombinator Yep! Only physicians on FutureClinic. We may add people like dietitians etc. in the future who clearly do amazing work in their own regard, but for medical care delivery, we feel strongly it should be physicians for the reasons mentioned above.
@thepotatodude47 @ycombinator We believe strongly that medical doctors need to be the ones in the loop for AI-mediated care. Only those with deep expertise have the confidence to overrule or disagree with AI because AI can be so persuasive. FutureClinic only allows U.S. licensed doctors.

@tomwang24 @ycombinator Unfortunately not yet! Doctors in the U.S. can only practice within their state licenses. But we have plans to expand to Canada and the UK next year!
@DrJeeshanMD @ycombinator Each doctor set their own prices which patients see at the point they make their choice. On average though, a one off encounter costs around $40, and subscription for ongoing continuous care from a doctor costs around $55.
@ZGJR @ycombinator Thanks Dr. Grossmann! We actually even have surgeons using their own FutureClinics for pre-op workups (clinical history, imaging, labs), and then post-op for recoveries and check-ins. The scope for how much can be done in this format is tremendous and under-appreciated.
