Owning code in production changes how we write it. ‘You Build It, You Run It’ isn’t asking too much of developers, imo. It’s a great way to build reliable software.

programmers have a dumb chip on their shoulder that makes them try and emulate traditional engineering there is zero physical cost to iteration in software - can delete and start over, can live patch our approach should look a lot different than people who build bridges

Please stop mixing source and derived state in your domain objects. I know it's convenient, but it risks drift and subtle bugs. Instead: - Keep only source of truth in your model - Derive everything else when you need it
