"Abbott apologised for her mistake immediately, but 10 months on is still suspended pending investigation. One wonders what more there is to investigate, beyond whether Black women are allowed a second chance & whether issues of MP security apply to them." theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
@garyyounge Unfortunately in Diane Abbott’s case it’s cumulative
@garyyounge Abbott has a long history of Antisemitism and supporting violent extremism. Just because she has been a victim of racism - which she undoubtedly is - it doesn’t wipe out her raging Jew hate.
@garyyounge But it wasn’t a mistake, it’s how she feels. The only mistake was thinking she could say these things aloud. Her opinions haven’t changed and nor will they.
@garyyounge Yeah, Labour's never-ending investigation as a tactic to keep her out of the party is fascist. They are delaying on purpose as a political tool. How can they be trusted with anything if this is how they behave? I'm serious, it's worthy of Putin or other dictatorial regimes, vile.
@garyyounge Labour & the Guardian are obsessed with the colour of skin. Maybe focus on the character. Judge on that basis.
Second chance? She had at least ten and kept going. Then she extended her hatred from white people in general to Jews. Had she been white and persistently said the same things about black people she'd never have worked again. She can't just hide behind her blackness to constantly attack other races.
@garyyounge It's simply part of Starmers' cobynite purge. Isn't it?
@garyyounge @HackneyAbbott tried to embed a hierarchy of grievance. It is not the first time ms Abbott has tried this. This has no place in the modern @UKLabour.
