@OKC_SPAN It’s just duplicative. If these churches have programs to help people but are having a hard time finding people to help, just ask a shelter or come to the damn eviction docket or something. Or tell 211. What is this weird state agency going to do?

@OKC_SPAN Why don’t they just loop into heartline 211?

@realmartypeercy How many ballots would I bring to the shindig? All the ones I plan on submitting or just one so I don’t make the people who only vote once or twice per election feel bad?

@OKC_SPAN I think the big driver of horrible policies will be the Olympic events. There's going to be a big push by a lot of the power players to make OKC appear a certain way before any of the crowds and press show up.

@OKC_SPAN Some of our elected officials just default to supporting any landlord they meet. Muscle memory.

@realmartypeercy You telling me OKC could buy 10 and 1/2 of these bad boys but instead we're trying to get a dumb new arena?

@realmartypeercy They spent all this time collaborating with orgs doing the work only to turn around and give the chamber of commerce or someone like that the power to push some real bullshit. So familiar.

@OKC_SPAN He's not the first to do this, but they're underselling the legal fees. The City's paying both sides of the fees on that case. So it's around a million to cover the work of the Plaintiffs' attorneys, and whatever else they spent on the outside council the City hired.

@realmartypeercy Well, when I said she’s put up with a lot, I was talking about you. But seriously, this is bullshit. We’re gonna contribute to the re-election campaign right now.

@OKC_SPAN Do you personally know a lot about this process? I've heard stories over the years, but I have a lot of concerns.

@realmartypeercy For the sheriff’s department? What are they going to show - unincorporated roads? Transporting detainees? Locking people out after evictions? Sheriff’s department has different responsibilities than okcpd. I’d hate for any of it to be sold as some sort of entertainment.
