Last point on this — if you are in the backlog and either: 1) your immigration lawyer; or 2) your employer, is not publicly calling for visa bulletin filing dates to be made current on October 2023, you have every right to assume they are actively working to oppose this change.

Put another way — you can’t make any moral argument for giving parole and EADs to hundreds of thousands of people who have never been here before and yet keep forcing high-skilled immigrants who have been here for decades to be trapped working for only one employer. Shame!!

I have B-Tech from IIT and MBA from Columbia university. Not only that I was in top 10% of my class at Columbia. But I have no path to GC despite of working in USA for last 15 Years. Thanks to Country based discrimination in GC allocation and inaction from politicians.
