Two new European Huns (high East Asian outliers) from Imenkovo culture, both under
R-S10885.
VZ-12673, MSG-1, KRY001, TGB023 are European Huns with this clade.
R1a-S10885 and N-M2019>Y70200 were common in Attila's Huns and both has Xiongnu origin.
Temporary post.
N-B482 (N2)>Y147658 is a Baikal_EN/Kitoi relict lineage that survived at low frequency after the Q1b takeover, moved south/west with EBA groups (Munkhkhairkhan/Chemurchek horizon), and was later absorbed into Iron Age nomad confederations (Saka/Pazyryk/Wusun) as a minority line.
@GoldenSaka@HunJiaHuan Pretty sure theres zero Mongolic clades in Xiongnu except maybe one? Also even if they were Yeniseian its almost certainly Turkified Yeniseians.
@GoldenSaka I mean bro theyre not even wrong here. You're not even Chinese so why bother. Central Asians have more facial dimorphism and definition than Chinese.
a new linguistic paper supports a largely accepted opinion that the Core layer of the Xiongnu empire was Turkic-speaking.
About a half-year from now, a major aDNA paper will also confirm that the 'core Xiongnu' ethnicity was indeed Turkic, using Y-DNA links.
Here is something interesting
Pathan
BMAC Steppe admix is ~500bce
But with IVC admix is 700ce
So wondering if Pathan were BMAC + Steppe people who by 700ce acquired IVC like ancestry 🤔
a haplogroup landscape reconstruction of nomadic groups of Inner Asia about 250 BC (confirmed aDNA cases) shortly before the start of the hegemony of Turkic-speaking Xiongnu on the Eurasian steppes and expansion of Turkic languages
The ethnogenesis process of the Okunevo Culture shown on the map with the qpAdm model from @Ilb3548;
>Okunevo Culture (Okunevo_EMBA) = ~45% Bronze Age Baikal Hunter-Gatherers (Cisbaikal_LNBA) + ~30% Afanasievo Culture (Late Proto-Indo-Europeans) + ~25% Tarim Mummies (Tarim_EMBA)
The Okunevo Culture (2700 BCE - 1800 BCE) developed in the Minusinsk Basin of southern Siberia during the Early Bronze Age and represented the cultural and genetic continuity of the indigenous hunter-gatherer societies of the region throughout its existence. Archaeological findings such as stone carvings depicting human features in non-human creatures, rock art, and ritual burial structures indicate that this culture was shaped by intense animistic and shamanistic beliefs. Metalworking was limited in the Okunevo Culture. Copper alloy needles, simple knives, and beads are among the most common finds. Bronze technology at Okunevo was underdeveloped, and weapons were mostly limited to stone arrow/spear points. Burials at Okunevo are mostly in the form of rectangular stone-framed kurgans, and individual burials are also common. Small stone statues have also been found in some burials. The fact that the burial directions are east-west suggests that the Okunevo Culture burials have a cosmological meaning.
Current archaeological studies have revealed that there is a significant Ancient North Eurasian (ANE) component in the autosomal DNA of Okunevo individuals. This inheritance is particularly similar to the Tarim Mummies samples. In the paternal lineages, haplogroups such as Q1a and Q1b are prominent, and these lineages are most commonly seen in Ket, Selkup, and Altai (Turkic) peoples today. Considering the main cultural and genetic component that constitutes Okunevo, similar to the "Bronze Age Baikal Hunter-Gatherer", the origins of this society can be traced back to Paleo-Siberian-like peoples in East Siberia and the Baikal regions. This is also consistent with the genetic continuity of Okunevo with contemporary Siberian peoples, especially the Yeniseian peoples, who are thought to be related to the Paleo-Siberians. Therefore, the most common view today is that the language spoken by Okunevo is a "Yeniseian-like" language. The second possible language spoken in Okunevo is a Proto-Indo-European-like language. This is because some samples in Okunevo carry a noticeable amount of inheritance from the Afanasievo Culture samples in the region, which can be considered as the direct sister of the Yamnaya. However, due to cultural continuity, the dominance of eastern paternal lineages and the fact that it is a more eastern society in terms of autosomal DNA, the possibility of a "Yeniseian-like language" in Okunevo is more prominent.
Okunevo, which stands out with its indigenous Siberian cultural structure, apart from the Indo-European shepherding traditions of the neighbouring Afanasievo Culture, later played a key role in the ethnogenesis processes of the peoples living in the Altay-Sayan region.
The qpAdm analysis used as a source in the post and showing the genetic data of that period belongs to @Ilb3548.
Please note that all images used are representative and that the rates are approximate and may change with new data.
I am open to criticism and corrections.

No longer a ghost ancestor!
Brand new study via Qiaomei Fu's lab in Beijing has now confirmed that HGs living in what is today Guizhou Province in SW 🇨🇳 also carried Y-dna 𝐃-𝐅𝟗𝟕𝟏.
This is clear evidence of connection between lowland & highland inhabitants dating back 11kya
Some ancient Tibetans carried about 25% ancestry from a “ghost” population. A 7,100-year-old woman has helped explain who those people were.
For years, geneticists could detect this ancestry in Tibetan DNA without finding a convincing ancient source. “Ghost” simply meant that
