Erin will parallel the coast then head out-to-sea. The official hurricane forecast goes out five days. I have other tools which go out farther. In this case the signs Erin will be picked up late this week by the upper air westerlies is pretty emphatic Some storms are easy.

Some hurricanes are easy to forecast, others impossible. I've seen tropical system on this track lots of times. It will likely miss the East Coast, get picked up by the westerlies and shunted into the Atlantic.

At one point in my career I made a lot of money and paid a lot of taxes... and it still left me with a lot of money. I want to hear the wealthy make the case for why they need more.
