Joe Manchin says he “can’t” support the Build Back Better plan. Translation: they guy representing the second poorest state in the country while driving a Maserati SUV is not willing to help his constituents.
@georgehahn If it’s Sunday Morning it must be Manchin on the Sunday before Christmas letting everyone who follows politics know how screwed we are.
@georgehahn to be honest, having him against Build Back Better hurts less than him openly admitting that he wouldn't do anything for the voting rights bill, which shouldn't cost him anything. We all know, it isn't the money he gets from GOP donors to protect industries, but to protect votes
@georgehahn Or maybe he appreciates that the inflation it will bring will hurt his people more than it will benefit
@georgehahn That is true but its also true that the Senate would be struggling to pass both bills instead of one.
@georgehahn Me??? I say move on from BBB: Throw everything we got at cheap Covid tests to keep schools open in JANUARY. Then pass Voting rights. Steady economy. Get on top of Covid & inflation. We do not HAVE to pump money into economy on such a broad scale. Then we win 2022 AND 2024.
