If you see the "stolen money returned by Studio ZA/UM new owners" story, look closer. He returned it TO THE STUDIO. After fraudulently using that money to acquire the studio. This is just him throwing up a smoke screen to divert criticism. thegamer.com/disco-elysium-…
It isn't even a good smoke screen. It's just enough to slide by the lawsuit that the original team had attempted. Plus grandstanding and gaslighting. It resolves literally nothing about the situation. He can just find another way to embezzle the funds he gave back to his studio.
@glassbottommeg I assume the case was dropped not because "The facts and laws got it straightened out" but because there was now no legal precedence for suing them as the new owners can claim they returned it and did nothing wrong. Even though it's still wrong?
@glassbottommeg So this means Kompus can now sell the company, right? (which Kender"s lawsuit was meant to prevent)
@glassbottommeg @lambdatotoro And let me guess. If i buy Disco Elysium now (since it's currently on sale, i'm tempted) the original developers don't see any money?
@glassbottommeg Wait what? Like he gets the keep the studio he bought with money he stole from the studio because he gave the money back to the studio??
@glassbottommeg This is such an oddly smug statement considering this basically confirms he did fraud? Right?
@glassbottommeg @_tlr_ So basically I could walk into a place and just claim myself the owner to get past the whole stealing rigmarole
