@stevebullard I think the record is 7-2 when I’ve been at the cotton bowl. First game was 63-14 win with griffin’s touchdown record. Two losses were last year’s 34-3 and Kyler’s year with dicker the kicker. Yes!

@KDTrey5 @TheGunzShow KD, you broke my heart when you went to GS from OKC, but you’re exactly right on this. Fans are spoiled and complain about everything. Mad respect for your game!

@eugenepkim2 I agree in large part. But Paul does talk about how the gospel is “advanced” in Philippians 1. So that one makes sense to me. But I really that is a different usage than what you’ve listed above. Blessings!

Something for us (45 years old & under) ministry leaders to consider. Our volunteers shouldn’t outpace us in hard work. Often, as leaders we are pushing people to volunteer in our churches and ministries on top of a 40 to 50 hour work week. But, then at the same time we’re complaining about our own work hours that wouldn’t even be considered full-time in most places. Sadly, I’m hearing more and more from older leaders that are having a difficult time finding younger leaders that will work hard and work full-time hours. Honestly, I believe that if you’re truly called, people shouldn’t have to push you to do it. In fact, it makes me wonder if there has been so much focus in the recent years on soul care, sabbath’ing, and rest that the pendulum has over-corrected in a way that now some of us (in my generation of ministry leaders) are beginning to spiritualize laziness. We definitely don’t need to burn-out, but we also shouldn’t sloth-out either. Take care of yourself. Take care of your family. But, also work hard for the glory of God.

@AndrewWHall I don’t often do it. But I think it’s really about personality type. The people who are wired to do the more difficult thing at the beginning so that they can relax at the end normally back up. They also are more prone to do the princess pull-through.

@bartbarber Dear brother, your friends from Doorant, OK (who vacation in Kenefic, OK) sincerely appreciate your leadership. May God give you the strength you need for the days ahead as you pay tribute to your mother. My mom went to Jesus 5 years ago. My heart is with you!

Our annual national denominational meeting is next week in New Orleans. Pray for God’s power to be demonstrated through the meeting as we come together to focus on what we do best—share and live the good news of Jesus Christ everywhere. thegateway.press/perspective-sb…
