Imagine that… A religious institution that isn’t pillaged by fraud. A sect of people devoted to paying God and not church employees. You want a real story!?! Look how much it gives to charity annually while still being responsible. Hell… If the Government ran like our church, we’d pay 10% tax and thrive. I’m shocked by people’s shock of an honest tithe and honest tithe takers.

This is actual brotherhood. NHL star Johnny Gaudreau was killed by a drunk driver before he could play for this Olympic team. When Team USA won gold yesterday, they didn’t just hold his jersey. They pulled his two babies onto the ice and put them right in the center of the world's biggest stage. A completely heart-wrenching moment

Gonna chime in on the tragic midair collision last night to help the non-pilot speculators that all seem to be commenting "how could this have happened??" "how could you not see a giant plane?" "it had to have been on purpose" kind of stuff... - it's very hard to see other aircraft while flying, it's easy to lose sight of them after you've seen them, and it's also easy to see the 'wrong' aircraft and think that's your traffic you're supposed to be avoiding. Every single pilot has made mistakes identifying aircraft, tried to avoid the wrong one, tried to follow the wrong one, or just flat out never seen one they thought they should be easily able to see. - ATC advised Blackhawk pilot of the CRJ coming in on final and asked them to "maintain visual separation". Pilot acknowledged but continued on collision course- likely either not picking up the visual in time to avoid, or seeing another plane coming in on another runway (there's multiple active runways there), and thought that was the plane he was to be avoiding. Busy airspace requires pilots actively looking out for collisions and ATC helping them avoid them. Usually, if one makes a mistake, the other can bail them out. All experienced pilots have proactively avoided a close call that ATC gave bad instructions on that could have resulted in a collision. And to a greater extent, all experienced ATC controllers have saved the butts of many pilots who didn't see an aircraft or misidentified the one they were looking for. It's a team effort. From what I've seen, I strongly believe nothing nefarious happened last night. Helicopter pilot likely made an innocent mistake and ATC had put the onus on them with the "maintain visual separation" instructions and didn't follow up in time to deconflict the situation when their monitors were showing them a potential collision warning. Yes, there was human failure here, and blame will be pointed at and allocated between the pilots and controllers as the investigation unfolds, but it doesn't mean there was some conspiracy afoot. Good people make mistakes and flying large chunks of metal, filled with humans, at high speeds through Earth's atmosphere will never be 100% risk-free. Commercial aviation has a remarkable safety record and I expect we'll learn lessons and make it even more safe after this terrible tragedy. Now is the time to pray for and mourn for the families of the souls lost in this tragedy. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers today instead of going on a feverish witch hunt.
