The first time I wore leggings was when I was in my 20s, a few years after marriage. My husband looked at me and said, “You’re not wearing those out of the house.” I took them off and now only wear them when I travel with a long shirt and sweater over them. I respected my husband’s opinion. He’s a man. He was protecting me. I am thankful he spoke truth to me 40 years ago. This is a blessing, not a curse.
@godlywomanhood If I said this to my wife she’d tell me to go to hell and she’d be absolutely right.
@godlywomanhood Have you tried a robe and hood?
@godlywomanhood He wasn't protecting you, he was controlling you.
@godlywomanhood I don't wear leggings, yoga pants, or sweatpants because I think they make one appear unkept and apathetic.
@godlywomanhood A husband should be the one who decides what his wife should wear, not the wife. He needs to be attracted to her. If she wears something he doesn't like, that defeats the purpose.
@godlywomanhood Whatever a husband and wife agree upon within their own home is what is binding to them. It isn't binding on anybody else. Thanks to everyone for sharing the different ways husbands and wives seek to honor the Lord. 🙂
@godlywomanhood You know who does outrank your husband? Me. I’m a youth football coaching legend, and if your son played for my team, you, your husband, your son, and every other family member would take your orders from me.
