Update: It’s been 6 weeks since my Tummy Tuck & Body Lift Surgery ❤️ I’m feeling so much better! There’s still some tightness in my abdomen, but the swelling and discomfort are significantly better this week. I’ll be able to go swimming in a few weeks and gradually increase my workouts. My surgeon was Dr. B at EstetikInternational.com in Istanbul Turkey ❤️ He did an amazing job! #tummytuck #tummytuckrecovery #tummytuckbeforeandafter #bbl #bodylift #bodycontouring @EstetikInternational

Update: A few days ago I sat outside for a short while with my daughter Abby. Although it felt great to be outside in the Colorado air, it felt really odd to not be wearing my Faja. I only made it about 15 minutes and then put my Faja back on. I definitely still need the support. 💕 #tummytuck #tummytuckhealing #tummytuckrecovery #bbl #bodylift

Tummy tuck & body lift before and after - age 53. Details in comments! #tummytuck #tummytuckrecovery #tummytuckbeforeandafter @estetikinternational

Week 5 - It’s been five weeks since my tummy tuck and body lift surgery! I still have some swelling which is totally normal. My scar is healing nicely. I’m now using scar tape to help smooth and fade the scar. I still have some tight feeling and stiffness through my abdomen and torso, but it’s getting better. I’m walking regularly for short intervals, and still resting quite a bit when I can. I’m sleeping great at night, which is important for healing! Our body does so much repair when we sleep. I still feel tired, but my energy is starting to improve. I remind myself all the time that this is all part of the healing process. I’m still very focused on protein intake and good nutrition, drinking plenty of water, and walking frequently. I’m looking forward to being able to swim and lift weights again. I have some 3 pound weights that I’m using for my arms. Nothing strenuous, but enough to keep my arms toned. My belly button still seems slightly off center when I lay down. I notice it less when I stand up. There’s still swelling, so I’m sure it will improve as swelling continues to go down. The recovery seems long, but when I think back five weeks it’s gone by fast! Staying positive helps! ❤️ #tummytuck #tummytuckrecovery #bodylift #tummytuckscar #bodycontouring #bbl

In May 2024 I started my weight loss journey with gastric sleeve surgery. At 53, with metabolic issues after thyroid cancer, I’d tried every diet immaginable. The diets worked, but the weight always came back. Nothing ever seemed sustainable. Gastric sleeve was a helpful tool, reducing my stomach size, but I had to put in the work!! My focus has been on eating a high protein diet, but I do eat some carbs. Nothing is off limits, as long as I focus on protein. Diets that are too restrictive are not sustainable!! At least for me! Most of my life I’ve been thin, athletic, and are ate a healthy diet. After my sons death three years ago. I just stopped caring about myself. Days in bed, living on processed food, led to weight major gain. I didn’t think gastric sleeve was an option for people like me. I’d gotten fat, but I wasn’t morbidly obese. After a ton of research, I made the consultation appointment and that started the beginning of reclaiming my life. In one year I lost 80 pounds and started to think about body contouring surgery to remove the loose skin around my mid section. On June 30th, 2025 I flew to Istanbul Turkey for surgery. I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair, 360 body lift, liposuction, and a tiny bit of fat transfer to my butt (BBL). I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’m still not fully healed, but the results are beyond my expectations. I recognize the woman I see in the mirror! ❤️ #tummytuck #bbl #bodycontouring #bodylift #gastricsleevejourney #weightlossjourney

I’m tired today, which is evident on my face. But I did get my @target workout in. Ten laps and some groceries! 😉 #tummytuck #tummytuckrecovery #rummytucksurgery #bodycontouring

It’s been a month since my tummy tuck and 360 body lift surgery. I finally got back to the gym today. I only walked for 10 minutes at 2.5 mph but it felt great to get back at it! 💪 #tummytuck #tummytuckrecovery #fitness #weightlossjourney #skinremovalsurgery #bodylift #bodycntouring @EstetikInternational

What is a body lift? ⬇️ A body lift is like pulling up your pants bit it’s with your skin around the torso giving your lower body, thighs, and butt a lift, removing loose skin in the process. This is beneficial for aging loose skin or those who have had significant weight loss. A body lift is often done with a tummy tuck. 🫶 #bodylift #tummytuck #bodycontouring #bbl #weightlossjouney #weightloss @estetikinternational

It's painful to look back a year ago and remember how depressed and defeated I felt. 😢 How grief had consumed me. Making the decision to invest in myself wasn't easy, but it was so worth it. Physical appearance doesn't change depression or grief, but it's given me confidence and the feeling that I can survive grief, and that I'm worth it. I remember this woman that l've uncovered over the past year. I missed her! #weightlossjouney #weightloss #weightlossbeforeandafter #gastricsleevejourney #tummytuck #fitnessjourney @estetikinternational
