Boeing is just one example of how capitalism is far less “free” than its devotees are willing to admit. Me for @MSNBC msnbc.com/opinion/msnbc-…
@graceblakeley @MSNBC Their stock price is down by about $47Billion since January. That is one way the free market has punished them.
I submit that this has less to do with so called vulture capitalism or free markets and way more to do with yet one more governmental entity selling out. The FAA inspectors of the airline industry have become nothing more than a paid-off rubber stamp for corporations such as Boeing.
@graceblakeley @MSNBC According to you (although you don't realise it), the problem is corporatism, not capitalism. Corporatism is also popular with socialist thinkers who advocate the nationalisation of industries as the solution to capitalist corporatism.
@graceblakeley @MSNBC I'm Glad you're in MSNBC. That's good news. Things are changing.
@graceblakeley @MSNBC Dark secret being they are not free and have been monopolised by Corporations..
@graceblakeley @MSNBC The route cause is simply cost cutting, more profit for shareholders, thus the quality of the product suffers
@graceblakeley @MSNBC cheap shot: who's confident that embattled #Boeing will build two reliable, safe, high-quality Air Force One jets for Uncle Sam / #POTUS, especially as they bleed cash on the fixed-price deal they made with criminal45? Seriously, WTH, America! #AirForceOne businessinsider.com/boeing-trump-a…
@graceblakeley @MSNBC I paraphrase, the domination of various entities by capital - when any one thing dominates another it is time to stop, hold people to account to understand who benefits, if it's not all of us, stop.
@graceblakeley @MSNBC The ideological underpinnings of this argument are found here.👇 When corporations take over governments.
