I think we can all agree that 16000 exclusions is too many exclusions. But we all also agree that violence in school is unacceptable. You can want to see fewer exclusions AND less violence in schools. Can we get some perspective and nuance please?

@neuroteachers I’d like to know what percentage of those 16000 involve violence Most are for persistent disruption, which is usually masking a learning need
@grahamchatterl2 @neuroteachers Absolutely. In my area, majority of suspensions are 'persistent disruption'. Guidance states that approaches should be explored when this happens again and again.
