I'm not certain today's teenage players truly understand what it means to be a good TEAMMATE. Those qualities don't get ESPN highlights. If we as coaches aren't teaching the traits of a great teammate, & recognizing those traits when demonstrated, players will never get them

If you want to change your team's Culture, start by changing the 1 thing you have absolute control over- YOURSELF. Are u asking others 2 change without making changes yourself? Reading, clinics, attending college practices, mentorship, or small group sharing are great avenues.
Winning is like makeup, it hides a lot of ugly flaws. Unfortunately, like makeup, winning doesn't correct those flaws, it just hides them from public view.
Make sure EVERY player in your program, regardless of skill level or playing time, KNOWS without a doubt that he/she is just as valuable as any other person on Earth.

This was 2 years ago today. One of my mentors & closest friends @coacholdschool5 came to see my team play When my father was a young coach he competed against Coach Mosley, so Coach literally knew me as a baby. Who could’ve known that 25+ years later we’d be such close friends!
