Kids of Boomers understand those experiences because many of us lived them too, and a lot of us had to raise ourselves. That was possible because of the country our grandparents left behind. Instead of passing that stability and responsibility forward, a lot of Boomers took the benefits and did not plan for the next generation. I do not hate Boomers or anyone else, but the idea that they bear no responsibility does not hold up. They inherited peace and broad prosperity that mostly required showing up to work and staying out of trouble, yet many did not carry forward the habits and foresight their own parents had shown. The lack of long-term thinking contributed to high levels of immigration that later generations now compete with for housing, jobs, and safety, along with the sharp rise in divorce that followed the cultural shifts of that era. Taking responsibility for those outcomes does not erase the past, and some of the results cannot simply be voted away.

Peter tells us to be careful because Paul’s writings can be twisted 2peter3:16-16. This is why so many think just believing without doing is the same as believing and doing. The doing are given insults about works putting off Christ and so on. Paul is right it is faith alone but that faith is dual purpose which James pointed out.

I agree that we should keep sex inside of marriage.
