Disturbing reports of corporate pressures on pharmacists for profit: cbc.ca/amp/1.7126811 When diagnosis (dx) leads to Rx which leads to profit for corporation, unlikely for pharmacist to be allowed to dx viral illness and no Rx sold. Dx and Rx sale shouldn't be in same hands

How does this make sense in a single payer system? Hospitals are worsening their financial situations by having to take out loans yet have little to no recourse in making up this ground in a not for profit environment. 🤦♂️ I don’t understand this. Patients lose in this scenario.

Ozempic hyperemesis syndrome is starting to rival cannabinoid. Ozempic seems to have a major supply issue in 🇨🇦 & many who actually need it are scrambling & unable to find it. Not sure how this will play out in the coming years. Ask your vommitting pts do u use pot or Ozempic?
So... Our emergency dept had >90 patients admitted, waiting for hospital beds, 40 of which were housed in a care area with 30 official beds and countless other hallway beds. Barely room to see patients. Then, by the evening >60 patients were waiting to be seen. And so you wait.
