@Malik_dasoo @NeilColemanSA @ShareenSingh8 @CedricDeBeer1 Hi Malik, see here "RISE Mzansi: RISE Mzansi believes the SRD grant should be phased out after this year [2024]. It is insufficient and unsustainable and is a poor substitute for meaningful jobs." groundup.org.za/article/electi…
@IrfaanMangera yet your party wants to scrap the R370 SRD grant. 8 million people can't eat your promises of jobs, skills and an end to food waste. @Rise_Mzansi need schooling in policy by @ForGoodZA. Even @Action4SA and @Our_DA have better policies for tackling people's struggles than you!
@SACLI @NeilColemanSA @ShareenSingh8 @CedricDeBeer1 @IrfaanMangera sadly @Rise_Mzansi has wanted to scrap the grant since 2024. It would be fine if they could provide all 8 million grant recipients with jobs overnight, but that's impossible. Their position on grants made me realise how out of touch they are with the reality in South Africa
@ShareenSingh8 @NeilColemanSA @CedricDeBeer1 Your thinking resonates with me, it's just frustrating that @Rise_Mzansi has this bizarre hardline anti-SRD grant stance. Lukhona's inability to administer funds is also very concerning um.dk/media/cc5kjhib…
@ShareenSingh8 @LukhonaMnguni Like so many on the left I've thought about voting for @Rise_Mzansi but @SongezoZibi's right wing Business Day politics have not gone away and if @LukhonaMnguni can't even get @rivonia_circle's Annual Financial Statements done in time, imagine him running Jozi
@SongezoZibi You are delusional. How will 8 million people survive when you cut R370 SRD grant? Must people just starve while they wait for your promised jobs, training centers and an end to food waste? A whole DA is more progressive than @Rise_Mzansi on social grants
@SongezoZibi Thank you @NeilColemanSA i'm glad finally someone said this. This is the number one reason I've used to convince others to see through Rise and their false claims of being a party for the people. I was disgusted when I read that @Rise_Mzansi oppose a basic income grant and SRD
