Pretty neat. It doesn’t really sound like machine learning; it just sounds like they’re using frequency filters on the RSSI of the WiFi. They seem to be filtering to only look at frequencies between 0.5 Hz and 3.5 Hz, which is your heart rate. Pretty cool! I can see companies like Apple and Google trying this with their smartwatches and phones.
