We are still buzzing from #FireCon2023! We met so many great people at our table, our PI of the last few years Becky Kerns received an AFE award, and the closing ceremony was incredibly moving. So much we didn't get photos of, our special session and fire circle were awesome too!

Back from an amazing @fireecology ##FireCon2023 & wrapped up our @UW_SEFS 401/501 class w/ the favorite activity every year: opening serotinous pine cones by simulating forest fire in a microwave. I will never tire of the magic of serotiny as an amazing fire-adapted trait. 🌲🔥
