@corvidity @czhuijgen The difficulties you experienced may stem more from the pain of being abandoned by your birth parents, rather than from the adoption or your adoptive/step parents.

@jess_gallegos @czhuijgen I share your feelings when I read that. But again, it's her life, and she has the right to feel how she feels. Let's not to judge.

@czhuijgen @amyyqin @vwang3 @nytimes Everything has two sides, so please consider the kids who might benefit from these adoption programs. I'm not arguing against you, and it's not a decision we made anyway. I am just sure that you may not appreciate it as much if you were never adopted.

@czhuijgen I read your article and loved it. Just one note—the feeling of being discriminated against or mocked happens everywhere, even if you grew up in China. These challenges shape who we truly are.

Capt. Jay Baker, a sheriff’s deputy in Georgia, has faced criticism after he said the man suspected of killing eight people, including six Asian women, in the Atlanta area was having “a really bad day.” He had also made anti-Asian Facebook posts last year. nyti.ms/3vGmQAH
