None of this is President Trump's fault. In 2008 a barrel of oil topped out at $147.02 and the average price of gas was $4.10 to $4.22 a gallon. In 2022 a barrel of oil was $139 and the average price of gas was $5.11 a gallon. As of today, right now, a barrel of oil is trading at $91.11 a barrel and the average price of gas is $4.41. Does this make any sense? No. Except when you realize that the gas companies are simply gouging the America consumer. Why? Apparently because they can. President Trump has directed the Department of Justice to investigate major oil companies over alleged gas price gouging. What more do you expect he can do? This is NOT President Trump's fault and he is doing everything in his power to fix it.
