It appears that the difference between what Oakland offered and what the A's wanted was about $35 million or so over three years. Or about the same that the Angels are paying reliever Robert Stephenson. Meanwhile, owners overseeing an industry worth many tens of billions of dollars stand by and watch their weakest franchise put on this cheap circus, and do nothing. Incomprehensible. And a terrible business decision.
@Buster_ESPN This will be Rob Manfred's legacy. A terrible commissioner. The A's belong in Oakland, not Vegas. What a trainwreck.
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN Nah.. they need to kick out the Phillies and move back to their birthplace.
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN What can Manfred do about it? (Honest question, not snark.)
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN Oakland and their fans not only did absolutely nothing to help keep the team, they actively fought against the team in every way possible
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN The other part of his legacy is gutting the minor leagues! In the long run that will prove to be a huge mistake!
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN Oakland has had many many many chances to get their shit together, and build a new park. Its not even close, there is no runner up. Oakland has by far the worst park in the majors. They have no one to blame but themselves. If oakland wanted to have the As they would of done so
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN The a’s belong in philly.
@herrmanndigital @Buster_ESPN They actually belong in Philadelphia. #Realtalk
