People with neck issues. What is the best desk that has worked for you? I have a massive executive style desk and my neck is so flared up that I can’t work at it. FWIW I most likely will never stand to work. But if a standing desk is best, please share.
@HeatherMahalik I have an Ergotron Workfit S and pair it with a Kinesis Advantage keyboard and Secret Labs chair. It wobbles a bit when standing but I like the keyboard tray and adjustable monitor stand. Recommend leaving desk clear with an ergonomic computer station to the side, if possible.
@codeslack @HeatherMahalik Great advice in this thread and going to echo Kinesis keyboard with some kind of tray added. I have the Kinesis Freestyle on a keyboard tray to get the keyboard closer and make small adjustments. Love it.
@hexplates @codeslack What do you have @hexplates
@HeatherMahalik @codeslack Something like this - small adjustments work perfect, just need to tighten clamps onto desk every so often a.co/d/gJhcj90 @HeatherMahalik
Having had neck fusion surgery, went thru a couple things, ultimately settled with a sit/stand desk but key was making sure while either sitting or standing that the height of the keyboard/mouse lined up with my height to remain ergonomic. My surgeon did help me get rough angle measurements for back posture, shoulder, elbow, etc. Lots of solutions out there but I'd start with basics of getting height, posture, and placement dialed in. A good chair is a must. I also used a timer that went off ever 15 minutes to Che k and correct my posture; took about 2 months to where my posture habits changed. That helped a ton.
