If you get a chance, watch this hustings. @DrHannahBB is the only viable candidate. One candidate said very little outside repeating what Hannah said, and two showed themselves to be wholly unfit for any office, never mind this one. Vote for Dr Hannah Barham-Brown on Thursday.

@VoicesYork @Katzenjam7 Sadly PSED is too open to interpretation. I teach it & it's application but I wouldn't agree that it's been met in this case. I feel that as a disabled expert I expect a fuller interpretation. To avoid legal action. This case undoes much of what the PSED was intended to be.

After reading through this legal advice it is so clear that the Public Sector Equality Duty is entirely useless as protection for disadvantaged groups. By focusing on PROCEDURE instead of OUTCOME it allows councils to discriminate as long as they have pretended to listen first.
