@AblyHost @NotionHQ That's not free. $12/mo is still expensive compared to, say, @hostnotion which does the same for $5/mo. Ofc Ably looks like it has more features, but for simple low-traffic one-page websites - the strategy I outlined is superior (can't bat free)

Running a build sprint on @hostnotion to do: ⬜️ Faster serving ⬜️ Fallback mechanisms ⬜️ A records for easier root domain (no www) ⬜️ Fix bugs where people can't pay (!) ⬜️ Update ToS ⬜️ rebuild the app in react rather than svelte 😅

Just reenabled the use custom scripts! (someone had abused it before). Chat systems, analytics etc. Whole redesign. The world is your oyster.

I love @NotionHQ so much that I wanted to use it for my personal home page. But, if I just pointed my URL there, there's a messy URL. I just found @hostnotion and set up my new personal homepage in a few minutes. kylewestaway.com
