I love Bleach, but I’m the first to admit any work can be critiqued. The issue isn't that people have issues with the show; it's that the vast majority of people trying to dissect it don't know the difference between valid criticism, subjective taste, and outright hate Most "critiques" of Bleach aren't grounded in the actual story. They’re grounded in misunderstandings. People skim through the manga or watch anime clips on TikTok, miss the subtext of a character’s motivation, misinterpret how the cosmology works, and then label it "bad writing." You see it constantly people complaining loudly about plot points when they don’t even understand the basic rules of the world they’re talking about Disliking a creative choice is totally fine, but conflating 'this didn't match my headcanon' with 'this is objectively bad storytelling' is intellectual laziness. You are not critiquing Kubo's writing when you ignore established canon, bypass basic world-building rules, and treat your own lack of attention as an authorial failure. If you have to misrepresent the material, manufacture fake plot holes, and lean on secondhand echo-chamber talking points just to justify your hate, you don't actually have a critique. You just have poor reading comprehension, and no amount of confident loud-talking changes that
