The research progress is so slow for the purpose of publishing papers. For every small improvement, researchers prefer to exaggerate novelty through packaging and storytelling. This is pathological.

Learning from experience is an abstract concept, which only emphasizes another way of using data. We all know what @RichardSSutton is doing and what he wants to do, but his progress is so slow.
We all know what is limiting the next development of AI, but its progress is so slow! Because 99% of researchers will choose easy questions, in order to graduate, to publish papers...
