Israeli pharmaceutical company, #Oramed has developed a #COVID-19 vaccine in the form of a pill called #Oravax. The pill, effective as a single-dose vaccine or booster dose, has been approved for trials in South Africa. After 3 phases, Oravax will be available for emergency use.

The #FDA is expected to approve emergency #COVID-19 #vaccinations for children between the ages of 5 and 11 this Friday, October 29. If the #CDC gives final approval, children will start receiving vaccines sooner than expected.

Last week, we reported on a new COVID-19 subvariant discovered in the UK. Unfortunately, the variant, known as AY.4.2., has already been detected in some US cities. Experts believe that the new variant could be 15% more contagious than the original delta variant.
