@Mormolykeia There is an innate human behaviour of discomfort and hate of the disabled and all signs of disability. It doesn't follow political mappings it requires personal overriding of that innate feeling and thus is quite rare to find outside of disabled communities.

Had a convo w/ someone abt this today (he's aware of long term issues; said he's here "for a good time, not a long time"🙄). They describe it as uncomfortable or say 'I just can't.' It makes no sense & is an excuse. I infer that they don't care about liberation of *all* people.

I miss being able to enjoy community events, but I really can't summon any sense of fellowship for the kind of people who were instructed that they could go wild and only the disabled and elderly would die and went, "Oh, thank god! Whew! Cowabunga!" I can't want to be near them.

So I work at a museum, and it’s pretty central in my city They have events twice a month that usually get a big turnout (over 1k people) I’ve been leaving out my “Why Am I Always Sick??” zines at a pamphlet table and every time I come back after the events, ALL of them are gone
