You've gotta be more afraid of wasting ur life than embarrassing yourself.

I never hear music and think of numbers. when did the fans of music become faux record executives?

The FDA is worthless...“We use over 10,000 food additives here in the US. In Europe...there's only 400 approved.” “American food companies are selling the same exact products overseas without these chemicals, but choose to continue serving us the most toxic version here.”

Complaining about artists not changing outfits, songs or special guests during a tour is both brainless and entitled Tours are 1) expensive + 2) for live audiences to experience the SAME show in different cities, not gen z who watch every stop on live for free lol are yall okay

Record labels used to be the ones discovering talent… Now the public does it on social media and labels simply react, rewarding attention over quality and the entire scene pays the price as a result

& i hope durand’s win sends shockwaves across the music landscape. 1. you do not have to shape shift for no fucking body. these people don’t have to like you, they have to respect you. 2. you can do this shit independently. 3. your dedication to the craft must be unwavering.

you can literally wake up one day and be like “actually, fuck everything ab my past and the self-sabotaging identity i had” and decide to live an entirely new life and be some1 who always fucking wins. it doesn’t take a feeling or breakthrough moment or epiphany. only a decision.

Many of you don’t even care about dismantling the system that exploits us, you just want to be rich enough to survive the system and exploit others. Lack of class consciousness will be the death of us.

We are living in an age where music, once the sacred language of the human experience, has been captured, encoded, and repackaged by machines that have never known hunger, never known love, never known heartbreak, never wept from the weight of being misunderstood, or wept from the feeling of finally being seen. We are literally entering a musical era of soul-lessness. This is an abomination masking itself as innovation.

My uncle would take me to skid row or somewhere comparable every chance he got to hand out food and that’s what started my community service - little did I know that would be my only way to balance the trauma of music industry politics, betrayals, disrespect and intentional misdirection. If you are in the business or aspire to be I suggest you find a way to give back to society and in a major way because success alone won’t balance you out. & if you find even a single good friend/person in music/entertainment, hold on for dear life!
