🦔I'm just a hedgehog on the internet, so none of this is financial advice. Talk to a professional before making any decisions. But I've been getting a lot of questions about how to prepare given everything we've been covering, so here are my thoughts. What I'm Seeing The AI sector is spending $400 billion against $60 billion in revenue, funded by debt accumulating at $100 billion per quarter. Oracle's debt protection costs hit record levels. Microsoft cut sales targets by 50%. Consumer finances are breaking with foreclosures up 21%, car repos at 3 million, and 9 million people behind on student loans. The top 10 S&P 500 companies account for 40% of the index, mostly AI-related stocks. Billionaires are rotating out of US assets into Western Europe and China. My Thoughts on Preparation First, reduce concentration. If your portfolio is heavily weighted in tech or AI stocks, consider spreading risk across sectors and geographies. When 40% of the S&P 500 is concentrated in ten companies all tied to the same AI spending thesis, that's not diversification. If that thesis breaks down, a lot of portfolios go down with it. Second, build liquidity. Cash gets dismissed as doing nothing, but having money available when opportunities appear or emergencies happen is valuable. High-yield savings accounts and money market funds are paying 4-5% right now. That's not exciting, but it's not nothing either. I'd rather have six months of expenses sitting in cash earning 4% than be forced to sell investments at the wrong time because I needed money. Third, reduce debt where you can. When interest rates are elevated and the job market is weakening, carrying high-interest debt becomes riskier. Credit card rates are above 20%. If hours get cut or a layoff happens, that debt becomes a serious problem fast. Paying down high-interest balances while you have income is protection against uncertainty. Fourth, be skeptical of anything requiring everything to go right. Leveraged ETFs are at record highs. Private credit is being marketed to retail investors. Speculative AI startups are raising money at huge valuations despite burning cash. When times are good, people forget that bets requiring perfect conditions usually don't work out. If something promises exceptional returns without exceptional risk, the risk is probably hidden. Fifth, don't panic sell everything. Timing markets is hard and most people get it wrong. If you have a long time horizon and stable income, staying invested in diversified assets through volatility is usually the right call. The goal isn't to predict exactly when something breaks, it's to be positioned so that if it does, you're not wiped out. My Take I'm not predicting a crash tomorrow. I don't know when or if things break. What I do know is the data points in a concerning direction: leverage building, consumer finances deteriorating, AI spending disconnected from revenue, and everyone assuming it works out because it has before. Preparation isn't about being right on timing, it's about being resilient regardless of timing. If I'm wrong and markets keep going up, a diversified portfolio with some cash and low debt still does fine. If I'm right and things get ugly, that same positioning means you weather it instead of getting crushed. The downside of being cautious is missing some upside. The downside of being reckless is losing years of savings. I know which risk I'd rather take. Hedgie🤗

Le parole del ministro Crosetto sono condivisibili, ma sembra che in questi anni la violenza verbale venga solo da sinistra. Non è così. Se parliamo dei leader politici nazionali, nessuno si è minimamente avvicinato ai livelli di Matteo Salvini, che organizzò una manifestazione sotto la casa di Elsa Fornero (che all’epoca non faceva politica, ma era una privata cittadina) dicendo davanti alle telecamere: “La signora meriterebbe di piangere per il resto dei suoi giorni”. E ancora: “Sono un pacifista, ma quando mi dicono Fornero mi incazzo come una bestia e mi prudono le mani. Fortuna che non è in casa oggi”. Non ricordo nessun esponente del centrodestra che abbia condannato le parole di un Salvini contro una donna che viveva sotto scorta a causa delle tante minacce. Se si pensa che questo tipo di discorso pubblico sia pericoloso e possa incitare alla violenza, per essere credibili bisogna innanzitutto denunciare gli eccessi e il linguaggio d’odio della propria parte politica.
