@noonan_malcolm @Legacy4LIFEAnT @AnTaisce @DeptHousingIRL @Dept_ECC @MarcKC_Green @NPWSIreland @EULIFE_news @KildareCoCo @greenparty_ie @PollinatorPlan All the while a quarry with no regulation has been pumping millions of litre a day, flooding a local road and back up and running with rock breakers. Working with impunity, what’s the point of having the GP in Goverment?
@greenparty_ie @EamonRyan What’s your view on this quarry pumping millions litres of polluted water onto neighbouring properties and finding its way into a SAC?
A really dry January. The pumping of polluted water has stopped for now. As a result of this the gullies, and ditches and road are now clear. The lake in the quarry is now increasing everyday. The 2nd part of the case is due to be heard on Jan 30/31st in Kilkenny.
@greenparty_ie @EamonRyan Absolutely laughable from the GP.

Standing room only in Conahy last night,to discuss all the issues with the Lismaine Quarry. Locals directly affected talked about the impacts on their daily lifes namely road closures, flooded properties, excessive noise, dust & domestic wells that have now run dry. @kclr96fm

Please share the date and time for the below meeting to those that maybe affected by the actions of this quarry.
There is going to be a meeting in Conahy Shamrocks GAA club next Wednesday Dec 13th @ 8pm to discuss the ongoing problems with the quarry at Lismaine and the road closure. All are welcome to attend. Please share to all that maybe interested in attending. Thank you.
Even though road closed signs are in place some try to get through. This car didn’t, and had to be recovered. The road is closed because an unregulated quarry pumps millions of litres of polluted water very day. @RTE_PrimeTime @rtenews @kclr96fm @kilkennypeople1
@EamonRyan @greenparty_ie @EamonRyan this is one example where the polluter profits and doesn’t pay a red cent.
@EamonRyan What are the @greenparty_ie doing about this?
@fiannafailparty @sinnfeinireland @FineGael Would be interested in what you have to say about this road been closed.
Road closed due to quarry pumping water every day for months water causing inconvenience for those driving between George’s Tree and Freshford. We would appreciate your help letting KCC & elected representatives to know your views. @kilkennycoco @greenparty_ie @noonan_malcolm
This is the result when water is allowed to be pumped 24/7 from a quarry with no regard for anyone else. And these fields have never flooded in living memory. @kilkennycoco @greenparty_ie @kclr96fm @RTE_PrimeTime
It just gets better, the quarry operators tried to erect a telescopic CCTV camera system tonight on the public road near the entrance. You have to question the motives here. @kilkennycoco @kclr96fm @kilkennypeople1 @GardaTraffic

@Dept_ECC what are your thoughts on this? Road closed due to quarry pumping millions on litres of water to neighbouring properties? Detours in place. And @kilkennycoco input is to put up road signs despite knowing about this for years.
Update this morning. The road is now closed.
@illegalquarry 300 meters down steam of the flood. No where for the water to go the river and actual flood plains are full but the water keeps flowing
Update this morning. The road is now closed.
Lismaine road nearly impassable now due to millions of litres of water been pumped by a unregulated quarry. Home owners doing their best to prevent homes been flooded. @kilkennycoco @greenparty_ie @noonan_malcolm @JMcGuinnessTD @kclr96fm @rtenews
This is what inaction from @kilkennycoco looks like. Road now closed due to excessive pumping of water. @greenparty_ie @noonan_malcolm
And we are told this is the result of surface water and nothing to do with pumps running 24 hours a day. @kilkennycoco @greenparty_ie @noonan_malcolm
