@exec_sum Didn’t even know they still allow uncapped work from home. Longterm it is very important to be in the office at the start
@Speculator_io Untrue, just a different situation. With AI it depends on whether you believe in the longterm quality of the earnings
@mSanterre This again shows that the tech ecosystem lives in a bubble. If your founder peers tell you they all build software in house don’t go out and short the enterprise platform
@KatieMiller @zerohedge Normally you would expect the dynamic to be the opposite ahead of an IPO
This is ridiculous
ANTHROPIC EYES $30 TRILLION AI MARKET Anthropic is expected to tell IPO investors its total addressable market exceeds $30 trillion, potentially surpassing SpaceX’s $28.5 trillion estimate. The Claude maker is reportedly considering raising up to $100 billion at a valuation
A CRM seat is a hiring decision. It gets approved once, on someone’s start date, and nobody looks at it again. Usage-based AI pricing turns the same spend into a line item that gets reviewed monthly. Software stops being a function of headcount and becomes a function of activity. Fixed cost to variable cost, with all the forecasting problems that implies (for the buyer and the vendor)
Will be the same as with all these touch screens in cars. For some functions, you want touch screens for others you want the „old school“ buttons. I guess first we have to overdo it with the touch screens. Just because something can be done doesn’t mean consumers want it
Eventually, all UI will be chat and gestures in, chat and video out.
@naval Will be the same as with all these touch screens in cars. For some functions you want touchscreens for others you want the old school buttons. I guess first we have to overdo it with the touch screens. Just because something can be done doesn’t mean consumers want it
Would you argue that clients would completely outsource back-office functions? I wonder if this business model would get a little stuck in the middle. The service provider doesn’t want to be liable for doing the accounting for 100 clients, but somehow that needs to be the value proposition, right?
@joinautopilot @LeopoldTracker_ @grok what is going on

Very interesting read
Josh Kushner wrote his first-ever formal letter to backers of his $65 billion investment firm, Thrive. The letter is an opportunity to understand what Thrive is seeing real-time, and to better understand how Thrive is applying its strategy to this current moment. Letter to
@negligible_cap So basically a phone
@exec_sum Maybe partly because tech companies’ share of loan portfolios has increased. When they go bust, there’s little on the balance sheet to sell to repay lenders, since their assets are mostly intangible rather than hard collateral
@HighyieldHarry I think trying not to use AI for your tasks frequently is a good habit to ensure you still learn to think and do things by yourself. Obviously, if something is very urgent, leverage the technology. The balance is key to become actual good at what you do
