I think it's also that Louis is expecting Lestat to want revenge ("I'm gonna fucking kill you"), and then not only does Lestat NOT want revenge, he actively saves Louis. That realization reframes Lestat in multiple ways for Louis.

One of the things I'm so excited to discover is what happened to Lestat before, during, and after the trial -- why does he sound weak in 1973? Is it that he's already starving or just grieving, or did something happen? So much to find out. 😊

Amazing to have a show centered on two of the most beautiful men on screen who also are amazing actors and have amazing chemistry and are absurdly funny (especially to each other). Love Sam clarifying that he does not spend time staring directly into the sun.
