पहले ईश्वर शूद्रों से डरा, फिर वो अछूतों से डरा, फिर उसे औरतें अशुद्ध कर गयीं। शूद्रों का खून खराब था, और औरतें खून के साथ खराब थीं। पर- विज्ञान ने अपना दरवाज़ा पर खुला रखा, मंदिर की घंटी से पहले स्कूल की घंटी बज गयी। इस तरह, मेरे अशुद्ध होते ईश्वर को मुझसे मुक्ति मिल गयी।।

the two black dots in photo (1) are of two afghans who tried desperately to cling onto an airplane to escape kabul. photo (2) is the famous 'falling man' photograph of a person falling from the WTC during the 9/11 attacks. two visuals, connected in history, violence, politics.

The last time Kabul fell to the Taliban, Afghanistan lost half its history. It would be unforgivable if that were to happen twice. I wonder if anything is being done to safeguard or evacuate the contents of the Kabul Museum?

When my university opened the campus in this Feb, I used to watch this woodpecker drumming n' drilling the tree trunk from my office window. I wrote few lines as #poetry on a paper. #Woodpecker This was perhaps my first poem penned in English. (Pic of handwritten paper Mar 10)

आग्रहपूर्वक कहूँगा कि ऐसे संदेश अच्छी नीयत के बावजूद बहुत नुकसान करते हैं। बेटियाँ और माएँ ही अधिकांशतः रोटियाँ बनाती होंगी लेकिन उनका काम सिर्फ़ रोटियाँ बनाना नहीं है। ऐसे स्टीरियोटाइप पनपते हैं। इसके लिए हम, इनके लेखक, ज़िम्मेदार हैं। जैसे “मैंने चूड़ियाँ नहीं पहन रखी हैं”।
