When someone comes to you with a need and you don't have it ready, don't just shut the door in their face. Show them you're willing to help them figure it out. Good design isn’t just about showing off what’s in stock. It’s about making sure nobody walks away empty-handed.
So instead of a dead end, I added a simple button. If it's not on the shelf, they can message the business right there to source it for them. It’s a small UI tweak, but it carries a simple life lesson.
Most empty states on the internet feel like a dead end. You search for a product, and the screen just gives you a cold "No results found." It’s like walking into a shop, asking for something, and the shopkeeper just looks at you and says, "We don't have it," then walks away.
Takeaway: price is the number people see. Value is the math they don't say out loud. Fix the math, the price stops being the argument.
I used to try to compete by lowering my price when someone hesitated. Now I ask a different question first: what's making this feel risky or slow to them, not what's making it feel expensive.
Been thinking about the value equation from $100M Offers. For years I thought people were just price shopping. Compare two options, pick the cheaper one, done. But price is only half the decision. The other half is invisible.

If you are learning UI UX Design in 2023, My advise to you would be to put 30% of your attention on UI design and 70% of your attention on things like ⭐️Workflow design ⭐️Microcopy and copy in general ⭐️Industry focused research ⭐️Business/data/competitor analysis ⭐️Psychology ⭐️Usability Audit & reporting ⭐️UI Systems design/Information architecture ⭐️Localization experience design( e.g understanding the workflow of ATM machines in Asia and seeing how to improve the workflow ) ⭐️Design systems management ⭐️Javascript/React or Javascript/Vue Your UI design skills should just be enough for you to identify -Accessibility issues -Visual inconsistencies -Redundant trends, etc The reason I will advise you to put 30% of your attention in UI design is because in less than 3 years, Artificial intelligence systems will be churning UIs that will be usable by businesses What AI won't do in no near time are things that have to do with direct human behavior and psychology. Also, setting up and managing design systems from end to end will still need raw hands for a long time. AI will be used in the process too but it will need sufficient know-how for anyone to plug in AI and get results there.
