I’m partnering with @VoiceverseNFT to explore ways where together we might bring new tools to new creators to make new things, and allow everyone a chance to own & invest in the IP’s they create. We all have a story to tell. You can hate. Or you can create. What’ll it be?
@TroyBakerVA dude, there are literally people freezing in New York right now because blockchains used up so much power that it raised their energy bills, and now people can't afford to pay for heat. There is no artistic value in this, its just money and scams with the facade of art.
@impethically @TroyBakerVA This article says it increased energy costs 79 million in a year. There are 3.5 million homes in New York, so that’s $22 a year per home, or $2 per month. That doesn’t even fucking beat inflation
@impethically @TroyBakerVA Investing in crypto/NFTs a year ago would have enabled you to pay the extra bills easily. Problem….. or solution?
@impethically @TroyBakerVA Hey pronoun guy , this is the dumbest take I’ve read in a long time. “Blockchains” are not raising anyones power bill. Thats moronic on so many levels. Most NFTs transactions are on chains that are carbon neutral like #WAX.
@impethically @TroyBakerVA That’s what they get for being poor!
@impethically @TroyBakerVA The article where this claim originated has been misquoted. It was talking about Bitcoin mining, nothing to do with NFTs which don’t even utilize Bitcoin or its network. Spreading false information is unethical and wrong, and it makes you no better than an anti-vaxxer.
