I can genuinely see its benefit after hacking together an app for an online radio without a library like Proton Player github.com/protonradio/pl…. You have to handle a lot of edge cases for a smooth audio stream. This toolkit promises to save you from pulling your hair out.

I still catch myself reaching for "position: absolute" when in fact, the problem could be solved using CSS grids. In the ishadeed.com/article/less-a… article, @shadeed9 shares a few use-cases where an alternative approach might be better than absolute positioning or comparable.

I like the idea of having conventions for user account-related actions. Some major sites have already implemented the well-known URL for changing passwords. But why stop here? Let's have one for the login, register, unsubscribe, etc. More info: web.dev/change-passwor…

I can see the benefit of a tiny package that would return the #WordPress application authorization URL. Just call the getAuthorizeApplicationUrl function, and you are done.

Ubuntu 21.10 has landed, and it comes with PHP 8 by default. It's one more reason to start using the newer features and consider transpiling to #PHP 7.x when needed. @losoviz gives a glimpse of how it's done on a real-world project in the graphql-api.com/blog/the-plugi… article.

Let's say you have to sign your commits with a different email than your typical (global defaul) one. In that case, you can conditionally overwrite your git config based on the repo location. I picked this trick up from the utf9k.net/blog/condition… article by @sentreh

Lately, instead of using template literals to build query strings, I have been using URLSearchParams. Its advantage becomes evident when you have multiple variables — so much manageable. Reference: developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web…
