5/7 picks in rounds 2-4 since Richardson has been taken have been WR or OL. The Colts are VERY interested in giving him a chance to show what he’s got.
Colts win the draft, Pacers beat the Bucks.
Jalen Brunson without a massively biased whistle is a bench player and he’s not the sixth man.
If I’m the Pacers, I’m matching Turner and Siakam’s minutes to Giannis, Nembhard’s minutes to Dame, and Nesmith’s minutes to Middleton. Don’t let them beat you with mismatches and you finally have the dawgs to at least competently slow their stars down.
If the Colts really are locked into Worthy as their guy, my most preferred draft would be trading back with the Commanders for 36, 40, and their second next year. Get your guy in the range he’s justifiably picked at while also getting another elite pick and some future capital.
It’s amazing how much better the Pacers look than the Lakers when it’s 5v5 and not 5v8.
To all the Colts fans who are mad at Ballard, I get it. But just remember, offseason moves don’t show up on the record. Maybe Ballard has his guy in the draft, maybe he already trusts 4 guys on the current roster. I wanted Sneed, but Ballard is right more often than he’s wrong.
Based on how angry people are getting at Ballard, I’m gonna guess another draft master class is upon us. The angriest I’ve ever seen the fanbase at Ballard was before 2020 (Rivers signing and trading out of 13) and after 2022. He drafted his best classes in 2020 and 2023.
I feel like Colts fans are so invested in trading for Sneed because they’re so sold on the Colts taking a pass catcher in this draft. I’d love Bowers, I’d like Brian Thomas, but Ballard plays to the strengths of drafts and the strength here screams CB in the 1st and WR in the 3rd
After this combine and seeing how insane the top of this draft is, I think if Brock Bowers falls to 15 you have to heavily consider trading your 2025 first to get another pick in the teens to try and get Brian Thomas Jr. I’m all in on the top 5 pass catchers this year.

Say what you will about Mathurin, if Carlisle asks him to do something he does it. We need him to pass and space better. He does it. We need him to come off the bench. Not a single word to the public about it. We need better rebounding. He is sacrificing his body for them.
If only we had a 6’8 3 that could rebound. We’d probably be up by 20.
If the Celtics need to shoot 48% from 3 to beat the Pacers then I feel good about it. Pacers fall to 11-5 against the top 5 seeds in the East.
Here’s something I didn’t think I’d be thinking 4 games into the Siakam era with way too much depth: the @Pacers might not need to make a trade. Sans getting another elite 3 and D wing, where can you realistically improve?

How it feels to watch Chris Ballard draft.
The #Colts are currently working the phones for UDFA signings. But after that the veteran safety market should be their next focus. A day one starter at FS to man single high formations would raise the floor do this defense tremendously.
