By the way, this is how accept an award from a LEGEND/ DIVA. You pay REVERENCE. You acknowledge them at the very least! And to those that will say she was “caught in the moment”, this was Miley’s FIRST Grammy win.
Hey, this tweet is doing pretty well! So with that…plugging a podcast that I host called Diva Dailies, where we talk all about women in music & their work. Whitney Houston. Mariah Carey. Janet Jackson. Madonna. Beyoncé. Lauryn Hill. We’ve covered them all & then some.
@inn_mho I mean, I get it, especially with her stiff person syndrome, but I truly don’t think Taylor meant anything by it? It wasn’t out of malice or ego or anything.
@inn_mho Steffi...where have you been
@inn_mho she literally hung out with her backstage right after getting the grammy? Taylor just treats them as normal people and its not her first time getting an award from her 😭
Miley acknowledges Maria but: She takes noone else up to the stage, she thanks no one else for helping produce the song, tells a story about the song being her butterfly. I am not attacking Miley but the double standards being applied are ridiculous. Taylor takes collaboraters to share the glory, gives them credit calls Lana Del Rey a legend, praises fans and the process, says Thankyou she loves her job. Before going on stage she is seen cheering Celine and even singing her song. After coming off stage she is seen chatting with Celine and her son and Takes a number of photo's with them. Taylor is dragged for not showing the 'appropriate' respect at the exact moment some people want when winning an award celebrating her achievement for album of the year. Her album is not discussed or mentioned instead an imagined slight is the focus. Did anyone ask Celine if she felt slighted? Not one journalist did, as to do so would kill the narrative they are trying to paint. It's amazing to me how many women are so ready to rain on another woman's parade rather than celebrate her success.
@inn_mho The best thing about Miley Cyrus thehill.com/blogs/in-the-k…
