American Christians are still somewhat influenced by "common sense realism." We tend to think our beliefs are self-evident to every rational person. We are not much aware of our cultural biases and our even deeper worldview presuppositions.

The only billionaire I’ve spent a lot of time with would tell strangers he was in “customer service” if they asked what he did and would happily empty the trash at the restaurants he owned. I’m convinced that humility is one of the only ways to survive that amount of power.
