@CoachJCardenas So happy for you. No doubt some the team’s success can be attributed to you. Glad to see you on the winning side.

He is Risen! Today we celebrate the greatest comeback in history—when Jesus walked out of the tomb, and conquered death once and for all. Because He took our place and paid the price for our sin, we no longer need to fear death. He made a way for us to live forever with Him. All He asks is that we follow Him. The Price is Paid. He is Risen. We are Free.

We call it Good Friday now but on that day nothing seemed “good”. It was dark at midday. Jesus had been crucified and was now dead on a cross. All His enemies were celebrating and it seemed Satan had won. But fortunately the story was not over because God WAS NOT FINISHED! 🙏🏽

83 years ago, our Pacific Fleet faced devastation at Pearl Harbor, but the courage of our Sailors and civilians turned tragedy into resolve. Today, we honor their sacrifice and bravery, a legacy woven into the fabric of our Navy’s history. #PearlHarborRemembranceDay #NeverForget #USNavy @USNavyCNO @SECNAV

Before you complain about how tough life in America is today, take a moment… You don’t have to face this at 6am tomorrow.

Pray for those good folks in the Texas Panhandle who are losing their homes and possessions due to wildfires. Prayers too for the firefighters who are trying to contain these fires that have burned more than a quarter million acres.

@TimBrando Verne did our tournament win over West Virginia in 2016. He understood the importance to SFA and Nacogdoches. Will always be a fan!

Having had the greatest professional privilege of serving on and chairing the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee in recent years, I am utterly dumbfounded to read the news about new NIT selection criteria. If true, this is quite the awful Friday news dump!

Happy Birthday, Texas! 187 years ago today, on March 2nd, 1836, 59 men signed the Texas Declaration of Independence, officially breaking from Mexico and creating the Republic of Texas. We've been through a lot since then --- had our share of bad characters and tough times --- but the spirit of those folks who took such a leap of faith lives on. Here's an 1836 copy of the official document.
