Trying to decide if I should teach/use the word addend or not. Context is a lesson on addition with low-attaining KS3 students. Thoughts? I'm also interested in whether primary and secondary teachers think differently here.

Which calculus notation do you prefer to use given a completely free choice? I'm thinking particularly for introducing year 2 A level calculus (chain, product and quotient rules). In my head there's a clear winner but wonder if others feel the same.
