I'm making a more in depth version

Some Graves tips for newer players 👇 Skulls: Throw skulls at wall/floor then m1 someone to direct them, you are aiming for 200-300 lane trades when using skulls, do not spam them or you will run out of charges. T3 skulls changes the Spirit ratio from 1.0x -> 1.5x Wall: make sure you are able to rotate it, I use vertical wall more than horizontal, try to wall in corridors to make fights awkward / catch people, wall towards peoples escape so they either get caught in it or need to use an extra stam to jump over it, T3 wall can solo clear most T2 camps in the game. You can place a wall on wave and leave to let the Zombies push. The Zombies from wall are affected by imbues on ult NOT wall. The number on Wall is the grab damage, the number on ult is the zombies damage. Essence Theft: is based of just good m1 use, graves neutral DPS output is heavily affect by your stam usage you need to IAD (instant air dash) + slide to not consume ammo. Graves is the only character in the game to not consume ammo on IAD, this makes it easy to stack essence theft + output alot of damage, every 13th shot from graves gun without changing target does 2x damage. Essence theft takes 4s to stack and is not worth investing in fire rate, as you need a ton to stack ET faster. Ult: either place it in safe place for objectives or slam it at your fight to play agressive, you want to try parry people who melee your ult, also you can use the ult as a wall to block people from exiting doors / stopping their momentum etc, when learning graves it's better to ult when YOU think you should and learn based on the outcomes. You can place it in side lanes to defend walker in tight situations but I maybe does this in 1/100 games. T3 ult sucks.

So Capacitor is Graves' highest possible damage item and is a MASSIVE increase compared to Tesla. +5% chance to proc, +2 metre jump radius AND +2 max jumps possible, creating a nuclear AoE that stacks EE + spreads Healbane, Suppressor and Mystic Vuln etc. The active slows by 60% for 3s and disables stamina + movement, allowing huge pick potential + better walls

It would be okay if it was Max health, but it's current health the damage is not worth the 5 ap invest, if you spend 5 ap you are slowing other more valuable upgrades by 5 whole levels. the only time I think you can T3 ult is if you are rushing echo shard with 2x wall but even then I don't think its good, T3 skulls, wall and essence theft add way way more damage + utility than T3 ult. If everyone could specifically see the damage from the T3 they would stop picking it, it is not like tank buster damage beacuse TB ignores resist and is 2.5% more, this is 5% that can be damage reduced by spirit resist. Tank buster is also not a great item on graves so there is no reason to invest 5 whole levels and thousands of souls of points on a worse tank buster.

This is why Tank Graves works the way it does.👇 The whole concept is to stack multiple instances of item damage to make up for Graves low damage. This creates the highest possible DPS. The enemy gets hit by Skulls, Zombies, and takes 8 sources of item damage at the same time. This creates a perfect neutral game for Graves of high DPS which she can't achieve otherwise. Graves can't stack EE well in her base kit but all the damage instances make it possible. 4 stacks of Escalating Exposure = having Boundless. So we use this to make up for any damage loss of not having raw Spirit. Any character can use this concept to become overpowered, the items are the system being abused it has little to do with Graves herself other than she can build any item in the game within reason. It doesn't matter if Torment Pulse has "low damage" because all we want is another source, which ends up being higher DPS than any other item we can purchase. This is why people keep saying they are confused why the build works. It abuses the shop + item system and Graves is a vessel that enables the damage with her 3. Also note alot of these items give resist/ defensive stats, ignore the colours in this game. You care about item color for your spike NOTHING ELSE. Colours does not = the stat it provides. So these damage instance items work towards defensive stats to make us extremely tanky.
