Security isn’t a feature you bolt on before launch. It’s part of the architecture. When building a SaaS app, I think about security across the full request path: User → Edge → Frontend → API → Auth → Database → Infrastructure → Monitoring Each layer has its own attack surface: • MFA + session security • WAF + DDoS protection • XSS + CSP controls • Validation + rate limiting • RBAC + short-lived tokens • RLS + encryption + backups • Least-privilege IAM + secret management • Logs + alerts + incident response The goal isn’t “perfect security.” The goal is to make security a system-level design decision from day one. @jeevanstacks Tools change. Systems don’t change nearly as fast. Instead of memorizing every component of stack, learn to see the structure underneath: Components → Relationships → Data flow → Architecture → Implementation choices. Don’t memorize tools. Understand the system.
