NCPG Statement on the Urgent Threat to National Access to 1-800-GAMBLER ncpgambling.org/news/ncpg-stat… This is not good news and threatens life-saving resources. NCPG has so many more resources than one state can provide.

Serious question to those fighting gambling harm. Has anyone studied how to address stigma from the public? There’s help for the gambler and family, but this stigma comes from somewhere. It’s still viewed as a moral weakness. How do we change public opinion?

Sports betting bill gets final push before session ends HBI. Minnesota Senate may be voting on sports gambling bill. House and Senate bills are quite different in addressing gambling harm. Critical work to be done in a VERY short amount of time!

Several years ago, I saw @SimonMajumdar speak @TheBIF. He said world leaders should talk in a kitchen with a chicken roasting in the oven. He’s right. I have a chicken broth going now, and all I feel is peace and love!

I was laid off from my job of 12+ years yesterday. If this had happened when I was still gambling, the result wouldn’t be pretty. Instead, I went to a GA meeting. Today, I know this was the push I needed to move on to a new career in helping decrease gambling disorder!

Today I am celebrating 10 years since I last placed a bet. I am making it my mission to help educate the public, promote treatment resources and support early intervention efforts. In that way, I am grateful for this horrid affliction...it has clarified my life’s purpose!
