I quite dislike coming to the end of a long hold list on a popular read only to open it and discover it has a deckle-edge. Who chooses that option and do they do it on purpose?!

Our 5 y.o. is learning how to read. With that, he is voluntarily constantly swapping out letters to demonstrate his skills to 3 y.o. sister. Tonight he came across “FOX” and stated a swap of O for U is F-U-X. Fux. (He has no idea). They both repeated it 4x. Someone send help.🫣🫠
Finishing touches were placed on the Christmas tree today while my 10 month old napped. Another way to say that sentence is finishing touches were placed on the future crime scene while my future perp napped.

I’ve never felt more mentally unstable than just now, leaving my dog for what feels like the 272,968,231st time this week and saying as I exit “Alexa. Play calming music for dogs.” I think I’ve reached my lowest point folks.
Multi-tasking Mom Moment: Adding a diaper to toddler for nap while simultaneously asking Alexa to play fan sounds. Alexa heard “Raise your butt” and took that to mean I need created a special playlist. Let’s just say I fearfully shut her down quickly.
Murphy’s Law of Library holds: waitlisted 4+Mo for books, so 5 of them all come available at once with 50+ people behind you waiting. Bonus: developmental leaps for kiddos so short/no naps to accompany towering stack of books calling your name but limited time to read them. 😅
